As an AP Instructor, you will be expected to:

  • Instruct students in a dynamic and supportive manner online in both one-on-one and group classroom environments.
  • Adapt to students’ needs and keep them engaged with the material
  • Have familiarity with the AP exam(s) in your particular subject area(s)
  • Multitask by managing slides, responding to questions in the online chat, and presenting test strategies simultaneously and confidently.
  • Inspire your students through a proven, results-oriented Princeton Review curriculum to help them become stronger, more confident learners. 
  • Demonstrate professionalism and responsibility by being punctual, responding to students promptly, and encouraging them to complete their assignments. 
  • Work closely with Princeton Review's full-time staff to fulfill student requests, coordinate class logistics and maintain consistency in messaging.
  • Foster an open, safe, and positive learning environment by guiding students with compassion and support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree earned or in progress
  • AP teaching experience in a high school setting within the past 3 years
  • Confident and engaging discussion leader
  • Excellent oral and communication skills 
  • Availability on nights and/or weekends, summer daytime a plus
  • Applicants must pass a qualifying exam 
  • Access to a reliable internet connection and computer in a reliably quiet location
  • Experience teaching online preferred
  • AP test familiarity strongly preferred

Compensation:

Pay: $25-55 per hour
