Candidates should possess excellent internal and external communication skills, have extensive experience in school finance, demonstrate proactive decision-making and consensus building, and have a proven track record with strategies that will prepare students to thrive in a diverse, multicultural world.
The Lower Merion School District (LMSD), located in Philadelphia's historic Main Line suburbs, serves the 67,000 residents of Lower Merion Township and the Borough of Narberth. Established as one of Pennsylvania's first public school districts in 1834, LMSD enjoys a rich tradition of achievement, innovation and community partnership and a longstanding reputation as one of the finest school systems in the United States. The District's six elementary schools, three middle schools and two high schools provide a challenging, multi-disciplinary academic program and dynamic, co-curricular experience to more than 8,700 students.
The Lower Merion School District is offering a multiyear contract that features a regionally competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates must possess a Pennsylvania Superintendent Letter of Eligibility, and Central and Building Level Administration experience is preferred. The target date for appointment is December 2024.
