Primary Purpose:
Serving as a key leader on the Assessment and Academic teams, the Manager upholds the network's assessment philosophy. Reporting directly to the Director of Assessment, the Manager is responsible for monitoring the quality of data collected through assessments by ensuring a standard testing environment across all schools. The Manager collaborates with Curriculum & Instruction, Multilingual Programs, and Special Education teams to ensure that all scholars' assessments reflect scholars' performance. The Manager manages a cohort of Regional Assessment Coordinators who advise schools on day-to-day testing operations. The Manager partners with the Director of Assessment, serving as the network's primary point of contact on TIA assessments and driving all training and development for Campus Testing Coordinators.

Starting Salary: $85,000

Duties/Responsibilities:
Collaboration and Coordination
- Collaborate with the Director of Assessment to develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure a standardized testing environment across all schools.
- Work closely with the Curriculum and instruction, Multilingual Programs, and Special Education teams to align assessment practices with curriculum goals and individual scholars' needs.
- Foster a collaborative environment that supports a shared commitment to high-quality assessments and scholars' success.
Supervisory Responsibility
- Manage a cohort of Regional Assessment Coordinators, providing guidance and support on day-to-day testing operations.
- Ensure that scheduling and coordination for campus testing are thoroughly verified and completed.
- Oversee the timely ordering, receipt, distribution, and shipping of test materials.
- Adhere to established procedures with designated staff (e.g., SPED, ESL) to determine scholars' testing and coding requirements.
- Facilitate regular communication and collaboration with Regional Assessment Coordinators to address challenges and share best practices.
Training and Development
- Partner with the Director of Assessment and Regional Assessment Coordinators to design and deliver comprehensive training programs for Campus Testing Coordinators.
- Ensure that Campus Testing Coordinators are well-equipped to manage testing processes and maintain high standards of assessment administration.
- Maintain Campus Testing Coordinator and Staff Resource sites.
Point of Contact for TIA Assessments
- Serve as the primary point of contact for TIA (Teacher Incentive Fund) assessments, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure effective implementation. •
- Address any issues or concerns related to TIA assessments and provide timely resolutions.
Compliance and Standards Adherence
- Work with Regional Assessment Coordinators to ensure all assessment practices comply with relevant educational standards, regulations, and policies. •
- Regularly review and update assessment procedures to align with educational requirements and best practice changes. •
- Ensure test security, maintain confidential integrity, and escalate all issues to the appropriate stakeholders (e.g. Texas Education Agency, College Board, etc) •
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to assessment procedures, results, and improvements.
Education, Experience, and/or Certification(s)
- Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in related field preferred.
- Experience Requirements: Experience with managing assessment logistics from national and state sources required. Familiarity with Texas PK-12 testing structures highly preferred.
- Special Skills/Certifications: Valid Texas teacher certification required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication: The individual should be able to express themselves clearly in written and verbal forms.
- Bilingual Skills: Spanish language skills a plus.
- Technology: Assessment platform expertise required.
