Founding Leader for SR1 College Preparatory and STEM Academy (SR1 CPSA) : SR1 College Preparatory and STEM Academy (SR1 CPSA), the first public College Preparatory STEM-focused charter school in Mississippi, is seeking a founding leader for an early learning school in Canton, Mississippi. SR1 CPSA will initially serve students from PreK4 through 2nd grade, with plans to add one grade level each year. SR1 CPSA operates under the leadership of SR1, an award-winning educational institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. SR1, located in Ridgeland, MS, has over a decade of experience providing high-quality college preparatory services to K-12 students in Central Mississippi.

Position Overview: SR1 CPSA is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader who is passionate about education and innovation. This individual will have the unique opportunity to shape and grow SR1 CPSA from its inception into a globally recognized STEM institution. The ideal candidate must possess a startup business mentality, ready to navigate the challenges and opportunities of building a school from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and execution of the school's strategic vision, ensuring alignment with SR1's mission and values. Cultivate a culture of excellence, innovation, and equity, setting high standards for student achievement and staff performance. Collaborate with the SR1 team, community stakeholders, and educational partners to establish SR1 CPSA as a leading STEM school. Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of a top-tier faculty and staff committed to the success of every student. Manage the school's operations, including budgeting, facilities, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Drive the growth of SR1 CPSA, exploring opportunities for expansion and scaling to achieve global recognition. Qualifications: Proven leadership experience, preferably in an educational or startup environment. Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to innovate and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving landscape. Demonstrated commitment to STEM education and a track record of fostering academic excellence.
