Academic and Learning Development Virtual Coach for Gifted Learner

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Academic and Learning Development Coach to guide a gifted 9-year-old through an accelerated learning program to complete high school. The coach will be responsible for creating a supportive and challenging educational environment that promotes a love for learning, personal growth, and the development of entrepreneurial skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive learning plan that includes advanced math, science, humanities, and language arts, tailored to the student's pace and intellectual capacity.

 

  • Coordinate with online educational platforms and supplemental educational services to ensure a cohesive and integrated learning experience.

 

  • Monitor the student's progress, provide regular assessments, and adjust the learning plan as needed to ensure mastery of subjects.

 

  • Foster an entrepreneurial mindset by introducing basic business concepts, financial literacy, and opportunities for practical application.

 

  • Encourage the development of soft skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, leadership, and effective communication.

 

  • Serve as a mentor, providing emotional support and guidance to help the student navigate the challenges of accelerated learning.

 

  • Collaborate with the student's parents to ensure that educational goals align with the student's interests and long-term aspirations.

 

  • Organize extracurricular activities that contribute to the student's personal development and enjoyment of learning.

 

  • Stay informed about the latest educational trends, tools, and resources that could benefit the student's learning experience.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • A Master's degree or higher in Education, Child Psychology, or a related field.

 

  • At least 4 years of experience working with gifted and advanced learners, particularly in a one-on-one setting.

 

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful accelerated learning programs for young students.

 

  • Familiarity with educational technology, online learning platforms, and modern teaching methodologies.

 

  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

 

  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge a gifted learner while maintaining a nurturing and supportive environment.

 

  • Flexibility to adapt teaching strategies and curricula to meet the evolving needs of the student.

 

Preferred Skills:

 

  • Experience in entrepreneurship education or financial literacy programs for young learners.

 

  • Certification in gifted education or a related specialty.

 

  • Knowledge of state and federal education regulations.

 

Work Environment:

 

  • This is a part time / full-time position involving virtual remote work. 

     

Salary:

 

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications, with a budget of up to $90,000 per year.
