ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT FOR TEACHING & LEARNING

Start Date: July 1, 2024

The Pelham Public Schools serve approximately 2,800 students in four neighborhood elementary schools, one middle school and one high school.  It is located in the southern-most tip of Westchester County, 30 minutes north of New York City. With an academically diverse student body, the District sets high expectations and provides opportunities for all students and faculty to reach their full potential. 

The successful candidate will be:

  • A systems-oriented instructional leader who has the skill and knowledge sets to facilitate curricular coherence for a high expectation district,
  • A visible and engaging educational leader who respects and seeks the voice of educators in the schools and proactively advocates for the needs of all students,
  • A detail-oriented and data-informed leader with the strategic skills to manage and implement multiple and broad-ranging initiatives, such as MTSS and research-based instruction,
  • A unifying, empathetic leader and thinker with strong communication and interpersonal skills eager to listen, learn, and foster a sense of belonging for all,
  • An instructional leader who brings classroom experience and building leadership success to the work of planning and facilitating professional development.

New York State certification as a School District Leader or School District Administrator is required and the district offers regionally-competitive salary and benefits
