Overview
The Student Information Systems + Data Manager is responsible for assisting and supporting the Principals and Counseling department with managing student data on Powerschool. This includes creating schedules, updating grades and assisting Students and Parents/Guardian with access to their Powerschool accounts. Support Director of Technology + Data with syncing powerschool data with Clever and Google Workspace as well as installing add-ons to further enhance Powerschool with new features. The SIS Manager will be in charge of the End of Year process and data backup procedures and will report to the Director of Technology and Data.
Responsibilities
Data Systems
● Support systems for collecting and analyzing student, teacher, and organizational data
● Support compliance and required reporting regarding the collection and provision of data
● Manage the School’s Student Information System (SIS) including any add-on software (bright arrow, MBA reports, PSCB Dev, etc)
● Manage connections between Google Workspace, Clever and Powerschool. Including supported Ed Tech subscriptions
● Update Transcript information into Powerschool.
● Generate Google Sheet exports of Powerschool data to data reports
● Manage all SIS related Help Desk requests
Skills and Knowledge
● Effective skills in self-management including but not limited to meeting deadlines, effective prioritization of tasks, self-organization, managing up, and efficient time and task management
● Ability to gather and analyze data using defined and differentiated processes
● Experience installing and using PowerSchool plugins, software, etc.
● Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to reply on email with urgency when appropriate
● Tact and sensitivity, including but not limited to adhering to confidentiality obligations such as mandated reporting
● Ability to build strong and effective collegial relationships as part of an interdisciplinary team of educators and administrators
● Ability to communicate and build relationships effectively and appropriately with diverse range of individuals, including but not limited to current and prospective students and families, colleagues, and external partner
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s Degree required
● Minimum of 2 Years of experience with managing all aspects of PowerSchool
● Expert knowledge of Google Workspace (Sheets) and Microsoft Office (Excel)
● Background in programming and databases preferred

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time 12-month position. The regular hours and workdays are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm in addition to any special events to which all staff are expected to attend.
Salary Range
$65,000 - $85,000 annually (Based on Experience)
