Summary:

The Regular Paraeducator works alongside, supports, and expands the programmatic and administrative duties of teachers and other professional practitioners.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Assist students with the completion of daily work assignments
  • Observe student safety
  • Assist students with organizing daily assignments
  • Works with small groups of students in various subject areas
  • Monitor students whereabouts
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the principal or designee
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Programs in a public school environment and the unique needs of students
  • Multi-task
  • Work cooperatively and build rapport with students, teachers, and parents
  • Follow procedures as outlined by school board policy, the school principal, or designee
  • Give and receive information in a professional manner
  • Maintain Confidentiality at all times
