Job Description:
FNESU is seeking an Early Childhood Special Educator to join our Early Education Team!

Our ECSEs work closely with the greater early education team to provide developmental and case management services to children ages three to five years old. FNESU has nine early ed classrooms across our six elementary schools and provides special education services both in and out of our classrooms to best meet the needs of children.

FNESU's Early Childhood Special Educators:

-Are collaborative and flexible.

-Enjoy working with children with a variety of needs

-Are effective communicators who build supportive relationships with children and families.

-Design and provide specialized instruction, collaborating with teachers around best instructional practices and the implementation of appropriate modifications and accommodations;

-Provide case management to include collaboration with families, related service providers, partnering agencies, and child care providers;

-Have knowledge and experience with administering developmental assessments to include the Battelle Developmental Inventory

-Analyze and interpret evaluation results, using the information to inform intervention and support caregivers and teachers.

Franklin Northeast Supervisory Union (FNESU) is a Pre-K-12 system comprised of 6 rural towns in Northern Vermont; Bakersfield, Berkshire, Enosburg, Montgomery, Richford and Sheldon. FNESU consists of six Elementary Schools, two Middle Schools, two High Schools, and one Technical Career Center. FNESU serves approximately 1,950 students within our six towns. FNESU is situated in rural northwestern Vermont, which is the perfect setting for outdoor enthusiasts. We are located just 20 miles from Jay Peak Resort, 32 miles from Smuggler's Notch, and within driving distance to several other surrounding ski resorts. There are plenty of areas to hike, swim, cross-country ski, snowmobile, and mountain bike. We are an hour away from Burlington and just an hour and a half from Montreal.

Job Requirements:
Must hold current VT Teaching License with proper endorsement.
