The Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU) is pleased to conduct the search for the next Superintendent of the Southeast Delco School District.

The Southeast Delco School District, located in the southwestern suburbs of Philadelphia, serves a 4 square mile area of 32,000 residents in the communities of Collingdale, Darby Township, Folcroft, and Sharon Hill. One of the most densely populated areas in Pennsylvania, Southeast Delco schools serve a diverse population: 77.2% of students are African American, 12.4% are Caucasian, 1.9% are Asian/Pacific Islander, and 4.6% are Hispanic. The District comprises 80.3% economically disadvantages, 3.3% English Language Learners; 14.1% special education, .4% gifted, .9% foster care, and .8% homeless. Six schools in the district educate a student enrollment of approximately 4,055 students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.

Requirements: PA Superintendent Letter of Eligibility (Out of State - Eligible for PA Letter)

Doctorate in Education preferred; Prior experience as a central office administrator (prefer prior experience of Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent in a suburban/urban school district).

Compensation: Salary Starts at $210,000. The total compensation package is competitive.
