General Statement of Duties

Summer Academy High School Sites: (Onsite) Freeman High School, Glen Allen High School, Godwin High School, Henrico High School, Highland Springs High School, and Varina High School

Summer Academy Middle School Sites: (Onsite) Elko Middle School*, Fairfield Middle School, Hungary Creek Middle School, Moody Middle School, Quioccasin Middle School, Rolfe Middle School*, Short Pump Middle School and Wilder Middle School
*Elko MS will be housed at Highland Springs High School, Rolfe Middle School will be housed at Varina High School and Wilder Middle School will be housed at Henrico High School.

Summer Academy Programs: Online Health/PE, Secondary Acceleration/Graduation (Onsite, Multiple Programs), and Project Graduation Coordinator (Onsite, In-Person)

High School Head Coordinator: June 12-July 31, 2023 (Includes days of planning, grade verification, Summer Graduation Ceremony and one Friday Make Up day).
Middle School Head Coordinator: June 12-July 31, 2023 (Includes days of planning, training, and grade verification).

Essential Duties

The Coordinator shall possess extensive knowledge of the secondary school curriculum and educational methodology. Must possess excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.

Minimum Qualifications

A minimum of three years' experience as a secondary teacher or administrator and an administrative endorsement are required.

Additional Information

Hourly rate - $44.88

***NOTE: This hourly rate is based on the 2022-23 fiscal budget as the 2023-24 budget has not been finalized/approved.

The division also has cutting-edge programs in career and technical education, at individual schools and at two Advanced Career Education centers.
