PAY GRADE: Para 5 (*MIN: $31,025 *MID:$36,504) *Based on the 22-23 Salary Schedule

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Performing & Visual Arts Clerk provides clerical support to the Performing and Visual Arts department.

All employees of SISD are expected to act with integrity, support organizational goals, communicate in a clear and respectful manner, championing the needs of our students and drive continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
  • High School Graduate or GED from an accredited institution
  • 2 yrs job related experience

Preferred:
  • 5 years job-related experience

SPECIAL NOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • Ability to use computers and software applications including; Filemaker Pro, eSchool and eFinance.
  • Maintain records, apply basic accounting practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Process all student applications for private lessons and set up individual accounts
  • Prepare and mail invoices for billing of private music lessons
  • Process private lesson time sheets for payroll
  • Collect monies from private lesson payments and student fees; process bank deposits
  • Assist with staff development regarding private lesson program
  • Prepare and mail correspondence to private lesson teachers
  • Handle questions from parents, directors and teachers on account balances
  • Notify campus bookkeepers of hold info on past due accounts
  • Assist with processing invoices and purchase orders as needed
  • Assist with coordination and set of fine arts events as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The usual and customary methods of performing this job require the following: ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment efficiently and effectively with frequent interruptions. Job may require prolonged periods of time sitting, reaching and repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer. Overtime is required as necessary.

That number will change soon with the construction of several new facilities – including two middle schools, three ninth-grade centers and a state-of-the-art stadium that will serve the entire district – all funded by a bond referendum approved by voters in 2016.
