As a high-quality national middle school math curriculum, EdGems Math's print and digital program engages students at all levels of learning from grade 6 through Algebra 1. Our rigorous differentiated resources combine problem-based inquiry and direct instruction strategies that help teachers understand the unique mathematical journeys of their students.

To meet the needs of California's middle school math community, we are seeking a California math educator with fluent Spanish speaking skills to represent EdGems Math to school district administrators and teachers.  As the company's Curriculum Advisor & Learning Specialist, you will create and provide engaging in-person and virtual presentations within the state (and other states at times) both in English and Spanish.

Your Responsibilities will Include:

• Delivering highly engaging in-person and virtual presentations to teachers and administrators (sometimes in Spanish);

• Delivering expertise in and exhibiting curriculum knowledge of middle school mathematics and learning;

• An ability to create compelling, customized presentations based on the unique needs of each school district;

• Provide district implementations with strategic support and planning that will contribute to customer success and program expansion opportunities.

• Building awareness of EdGems Math's suite of curriculum products;

• Conduct professional development trainings and workshops;

• Demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills with key stakeholders;

• Working collaboratively with all team members;

• Assisting with materials drop-off to school districts;

• Traveling to meetings, conferences, and promotional events, which may, at times, require a 75% travel commitment through a combination of air travel and driving a car, including overnight stays;

• Periodically lifting, reaching, and moving materials;

• Performing other duties as required.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a field of mathematics or science

• 2+ years of teaching mathematics at the middle or high-school level

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (live and over Zoom/Google Meets).

• Fluent in verbal and written Spanish and English

• Exceptional time management and organization skills

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through.

• Demonstrated proficiency with technology-based productivity tools, including Microsoft Office, Google Applications, etc.

• Valid driver's license with automobile insurance and a clean driving record

 

Position Type, Compensation, and Benefits

This is a regular, full-time position, exempt from overtime.  EdGems Math contributes to a 401K and provides a comprehensive group health benefits package and generous paid time off.  The annual salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000.
