Requirements / Qualifications
Single Subject Math Credential with CLAD
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assists schools and/or grade level teams in the implementation of CCSS adopted curricula and common assessments
Assists teachers in using data and databases to modify instruction
Models, co-plans, and co-teaches standards-based lessons and units
Conducts classroom observations and provides feedback to teachers
Implements coaching cycles with a diverse set of teachers with varying levels of teaching experience
Assists grade level teams and schools in the implementation of any Math interventions under the MTSS framework
Supports grade level collaborations at the school level
Designs and delivers professional development to grade levels
Attends meetings and ongoing professional development as needed

Copy of Valid CA Credential: with CLAD (or equivalent)
5 years of secondary teaching experience
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
In addition to teaching and coaching experience, the candidate must have experience with the development and alignment of curriculum, instruction, and assessment in mathematics. They must also be able to demonstrate their knowledge of data analysis and its use as a tool for modifying instructional practices. The math coach position requires working with diverse ethnic, language and varied income students. Bilingual Spanish is desired.

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION: Employment with the Pajaro Valley Unified School District is not complete or official until applicants meet all pre-employment requirements, including Board of Trustee approval. As part of the selection process, all new employees are required to provide the following information: new employees must be fingerprinted (paid by the District); TB test (paid by the employee); social security card; picture identification; and authorization to work (I-9).
