FHS MTSS Summer Program Coordinator

Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) Program

Falmouth High School

Summer 2023

JOB GOAL: Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) Coordinator will provide students with learning opportunities that will lead to deeper learning of the skills each student needs to learn but has not shown proficiency or mastery at the end of the 22-23 SY. Teachers will utilize high leverage practices that support deeper learning in the needed areas. The Coordinator will lead the efforts to set key priorities as determined through a robust data dive. The Coordinator will review and/or create data to guide their scheduling process and hire the teaching staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Massachusetts Licensure
  2. Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  3. Knowledge and understanding second language acquisition or SEI Endorsement.
  4. Ability to relate /communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators.
  5. Successful experience teaching students with a wide range of abilities, interests and needs.
  6. Knowledge and experience implementing and assessing effectiveness of Tier 2 interventions as part of a full MTSS.
  7. Applicants must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info.
  8. Such other alternatives as the Superintendent may deem acceptable and appropriate.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Assist with hiring staff
  2. Oversee scheduling of students
  3. Oversee and maintain teacher/student attendance
  4. Submit Timesheets to Payroll
  5. Parent communication and outreach
  6. Track student work and progress to provide Progress Reports
  7. Communication with Administration and Counselors about student progress
  8. Arrange for the teaching staff to provide content level work focused on skills (supported by data) in need of remediation for credit recovery.
  9. Insure progress reports are reviewed with student and caregivers
  10. Fulfill such other responsibilities as may from time to time be required.

Duration: 8/31/2023

SALARY: Stipend: $45 an hour
