The Farmington Public Schools Extended School Year (ESY) programs are designed to provide eligible students with disabilities reinforcement of skills acquired during the regular school year. Eligibility for participation in ESY is determined on an individual basis through the PPT process and is based on various factors, including the specific needs of the student and whether there is a strong possibility a student will lose skills, or have difficulty recouping skills, after an extended period of time without summer instruction.

Transition to High School Algebra Program
  • Co-taught with a Farmington High School math teacher
  • Program Dates: July 5-17, 2023
  • Teacher Hours: 8:45am - 12:45pm
  • Stipend: $1,716 (includes 5 hours of paid planning time)

Qualifications
  • All applicants must hold valid State of CT Certification in special education.
  • For Specialized Learning Center (SLC) and FHS Summer Place programs - Applicants must have experience working with students with autism in an ABA-based educational setting.
  • For STEP program, applicants must have experience working with students with social-emotional-behavioral challenges.
