RESPONSIBLITIES:
The work involves performing routine manual work requiring physical endurace and a willingness to perform a variety of routine and repetitive tasks. Direct supervision is received from a supervisor. Direction may be exercised by this class over seasonal and lower ranking maintenance and learning personnel.
Typical work activities include:

• Cleans and services buildings by sweeping and mopping offices, stairways, halls, etc.;
• Assists with outside work such as sweeping walks, cutting lawns, trimming hedges, etc.;
• Loads and unloads trucks;
• Cleans and performs maintenance duites on buses, trucks, tractors, and tools;
• Picks up and diposes of trash or soiled linen;
• Does related work as required.

KNOWLEDGE:
Working knowledge of the maintenance and repair of buildings, fixtures and equipment; ability to make a variety of simple repairs and adjustments to buildings and equipment; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
