The Operations Associate is a key member of the operations team at New Visions Charter High Schools. The Operations Associate is responsible for keeping the school organized and efficient while maintaining a professional and friendly environment for parents, students, and staff.

*This is a Leave Replacement position looking for someone to start ASAP through mid-Fall.*

Essential Job Functions

Administrative Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist visitors.
  • Receive and greet students at entry.
  • Assist with lunch duty, hallway duties, classroom transitions, and dismissal; Monitor halls, cafeteria, bathroom access, locker room access and other such spaces as needed
  • Fill in at the reception desk in the front office as needed.
  • Administrative tasks, including but not limited to: filing, making copies, setting up for meetings, receiving, inventorying, sorting and distributing mail and distributing supplies.
  • Assist with classroom and office set ups.
  • Assist with event set up and break down.
  • Screen phone calls and route to the appropriate party.
  • Assist with the preparation of bulletin board\project materials.

Summer Responsibilities
  • Support with summer school, including but not limited to entry/exit, phone collection, communicating with students and families
  • Support with preparing hallways, classrooms and overall school spaces for the upcoming school year
  • Support with planning for the upcoming school year, including but not limited to summer bridge, new student communication and onboarding
  • Additional responsibilities as needed consistent with the general nature of the position

Secondary Job Functions:
  • Support with school events, including fire drills, scanning, sports, events and emergencies
  • Additional responsibilities as needed consistent with the general nature of the position
  • Cross Trained on all attendance functions (Morning entry, use of attendance verification tool, assist with entering attendance notes, assist with helping verify staff has entered attendance).
  • Cross Trained on Recruitment and Enrollment (School Outreach, School Visits, and support prep for family engagement, enrollment of families and assist with SchoolMint)
  • Cross Trained on Accounts Payable Systems (Enter invoices via Nexus)

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associates degree; BA preferred
  • At least 2 years relevant experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to perform general office management tasks including, but not limited to, maintaining inventory records, etc.
  • Employ professional demeanor and communications (email, phone, and mail) while performing duties
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, PowerSchool, and other school information systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams that require project management, collaboration with others, and dealing with uncertainty.
  • Preference for oral and written Spanish proficiency

Salary Information
While the majority of new hires' starting salaries shall be expected to be placed in the first half of the range(s) to allow space to grow in the job, for those who already have significant relevant experience at that level of the job, placement at the higher end of the range(s) is possible.

Pay Range

$47,500-$67,500 USD
