SUPERVISOR:
Manager or designee.

SUMMARY:
Maintain the districts HVAC department's Building Automation Systems graphics and databases. Develop and implement training courses to share gained knowledge to HVAC personnel. Understand and adjust the operation of HVAC controls to comply with the districts energy model. Organize and keep records of all district control systems and associated programs. Have the ability to build and promote good community and school clientele.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Evaluate control systems and adjust as required to maximize energy savings and comfort.
2. Assist HVAC technicians to eliminate control problems.
3. Write or modify logic block and SPL program.
4. Prepares flow charts and system diagrams to assist in programing.
5. Perform inspections on new installations to insure that systems meet the required standards.
6. Develop and implement training programs.
7. Attend training and updates when needed or requested.
8. Maintain updated drawings and other documentation on all districts control systems.
9. Update and maintain HVAC computers for hardware, software, applications, and updates.
10. Coordinate with district control vendors to insure proper sequence of operations.
11. Perform control installations of new systems.
12. Fill in for HVAC technicians when required by supervisor.
13. Mandatory participation in (the on call) for your department.
14. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Degree in computer science.
2. Minimum of two years HVAC, building mechanical controls and equipment, other direct digital control systems, or Automatrix systems experience.
3. Experience with the Direct Digital Control Systems. Familiar with logic block programing and SPL programming.
4. Experience with MYSQL.
5. Heating Air condition and Refrigeration (HVAC) experience preferred.
6. Demonstrated problem solving skills.
7. Must have a valid Colorado Driver's License: Commercial driver's license is preferred.
8. Must meet insurability requirements for the Colo. School Dist. Insurance Pool.
9. Must be able to work flexible hours and/or shifts.
10. Must provide afterhours contact information for emergencies.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired.

1. Minimum of two years experience in computer programing.
2. Two years experience with Automatrix systems and Trane systems preferred.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

1. Good Motor Skills (hand tools and machinery used daily).
2. Heavy Physical lifting (over 50 lbs.).
3. Pushing and pulling.
4. Repetitive motions-bending, climbing stairs and ladders and into vehicles.
5. Squatting.
6. Overhead work, various vertical heights, working in harsh environments & confined spaces.
