Position Description:

The Business Manager/Bookkeeper is a position that works closely with the school principal to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations of the school. The main responsibility is to help the school stay on budget, pay bills timely and keep accurate financial records. Other responsibilities include payroll, benefits and labor compliance. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, motivated individual that works well with others. Candidates need to be computer literate and skilled at using Excel and Word. Familiarity with accounting software, e.g., Intacct, Paycor, and FACTS is a plus.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent

-Must complete the Protecting God's Children workshop and state requirements for fingerprinting

-Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles and practices

-Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet or exceed project expectations and deadlines

-Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills

-Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and Excel

-Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

-Ability to maintain high ethical standards in all matters

-Extensive experience and knowledge in budget management and business operations

Responsibilities:

-Management of all financial activities, records, processes, reporting and analysis for the school and various school affiliated organizations

-Management of all human resources activities and office operations. Supervises all finance, office and facilities staff

-Provides analysis and recommendations to principal in various operational and financial matters

-Overseas all budgeting activities and coordinates all audits of records

-Coordinates with the Diocese on all financial matters

-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the principal
