Job Details
Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union is seeking a 0.60 FTE English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher. The ELL Teacher will provide English language development instruction to students who are acquiring English as an additional language, working collaboratively with other instructional personnel, including a district-wide team of ELL teachers, to meet the individual needs of each child. Required activities include planning and delivering lessons, collaborating with classroom teachers and specialists, administering formative and summative assessments, and completing documentation required for compliance.

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree 1 Year of experience Holds or is eligible to hold a Vermont Teaching License with appropriate endorsement Copies of transcripts and license(s) must be uploaded to the application for all licensed positions. Successful applicants to Licensed positions will be required to provide official transcripts to Human Resources before completion of the hiring process. Preferences: 3-40 PreK-12 English Language Learner endorsement is preferred

The Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union (BRSU) is a public school system located in southwestern Vermont. The BRSU includes school districts in four Vermont counties and three Vermont technical center regions. The BRSU is the second largest Vermont supervisory union with a total area of approximately 460 square miles. In 2018, BRSU districts have a total combined enrollment of 2,200 students.
A unique feature of the BRSU is that none of its districts operates a high school. All BRSU districts have high school choice. BRSU districts send students to over 30 public and independent high schools with a large number of BRSU students choosing to attend Burr and Burton Academy in Manchester, VT.
