TEACHERS - Summer Bridge Academy (Students entering Grades 5 through 7)

Program Description: The Summer Bridge Academy Program will provide students entering Grades 5 through 7 with academic support and enrichment activities.

Staff Needed: Teachers and Counselors of Reading, Language Arts, Math, ESL/Bilingual (# of staff needed TBD - pending enrollment)

Qualifications:
  • Must hold Appropriate NJ Teacher Certification or Educational Services Certification for relative grade and subject.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment as part of a team.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Must be available to work all days of the program.

  • Teachers are required to plan scope and sequence of lessons for the 4 weeks of the program.

  • Teachers must attend required Professional Development/Orientation on Thursday June 22 and Friday June 23, 2023.


Salary Rate: $48.43 per hour

Program Dates: July 5, 2023 through July 28, 2023 (Monday-Friday)

Teacher Working Hours: 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Required Professional Development Day/Staff Orientation: Thursday, June 22, 2023 and Friday, June 23, 2023 from 8:30 a.m-3:00 p.m.

Program Location: Lewis F. Cole Intermediate School

Effective September 1, 2011, all employees of school districts must reside in the State of New Jersey, unless exempted under law. If you already work for the school district as of September 1, 2011, and you do not live in New Jersey, you are not required to move to New Jersey. However, if you begin your office, position or employment on September 1, 2011 or later, you must reside in New Jersey. If you do not reside in New Jersey, you have one year after the date you take your office, position or employment to relocate your residence to New Jersey. If you do not do so, you are subject to removal from your office, position or employment.
