    The elementary school teacher is directly accountable to the principal, the Office of Catholic Schools and the local school. The teacher cooperates with the principal and staff in providing an educational environment that promotes the ministry of Catholic education.

    Full-Time Preschool Classroom Teacher Aide ( 2023/2024 school year)

    Academy of St. Benedict the African School is searching for a full-time preschool classroom aide to join this tradition of excellence. We are looking for a candidate who supports the values of Catholic education and is focused on educating the whole child- intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Candidates must love working with children and strive to always do what is best for students. Willingness to work as a member of a team, and dedication to life-long learning and professional growth are essential traits of candidates.

    Qualifications:
    • AA in ECE
    • Ability to establish a positive relationship with students, families, and staff
    • Willingness to assist the classroom teacher in carrying out lessons and supporting students


    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in a preschool or daycare setting
    • CPR Trained
    • First Aid Trained

    Working Conditions:

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must frequently move, stand, and lift up to 10 pounds. As well as be able to walk up and down steps several times each day and physically respond quickly in an emergency.
