South Carolina School Division Searching for a Superintendent

The Position - The Charleston County School District Board of Trustees seeks an outstanding educational leader to
serve as superintendent. The start date for the new superintendent will be on or before July 1, 2023. Charleston

Qualifications - Qualifications will be based on input from engagement with community members and stakeholders.
This information is anticipated to be available by late April.

The salary for the successful candidate will be nationally competitive. The final salary and benefits for the successful
candidate will be negotiated and determined based on experience, qualifications, and meeting the criteria of the
Board of Trustees.

Applicants are required to hold or provide evidence of eligibility for the South Carolina Division Superintendent
License. Candidates are encouraged to obtain information about requirements for licensure from the South Carolina
Department of Education at https://ed.sc.gov/.
