Description of Service Opportunity:
The K-7 Summer Learning Camp is a four week in person, summer learning experience for selected scholars in present Grades K-7. The will operate from 8:30-2:00 at The Amigos School from July 10 to August 4.
The Summer Instructional Support Coordinator/Teacher Leader, under the direction of the Amigos School Principal and in collaboration with the Program Manager for Summer and Vacation Week Programs, will provide teachers in the Amigos Summer Program with guidance, support, and materials for instruction.

The Instructional Support Coordinator will:
-Inventory and coordinate curriculum and instructional resources
-Provide assistance and instructional support in lesson planning
-Collaborate with department and program staff to develop program-specific themes that integrate with the district provided curriculum and grade level focus standards for ELA, SLA and Math.
-Participate in planning for pre- program professional development for summer teaching staff.
-Participate in the recruiting and hiring process for program staff.
-Support school-based student recruitment efforts.
-Create schedules and class rosters for their camp site, include staff lunch and prep time
-Work in collaboration with the Site Coordinator to manage a program budget for supplies and enrichment activities, including field trips

Minimum Requirements/Job Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a major in teaching ESL or applied linguistics, Massachusetts Educator Licensure, Preliminary License, Initial License, or Professional License in ESL/ELL education.
- At least five years of successful experience with diverse student populations in grades (K-8) in an urban multicultural setting preferred.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and fluency in a language other than English preferred.

April 1, 2023 through June 30, 2023

Contract Amount:
Flat Rate $2,500.00
