Description of Service Opportunity:
The K-7 Summer Learning Camp is a four week in person, summer learning experience for selected scholars in present Grades K-7. The will operate from 8:30-2:00 at The Amigos School from July 10 to August 4.
The Summer Teacher Leader, under the direction of the Amigos School Principal and in collaboration with the Program Manager for Summer and Vacation Week Programs, will provide teachers in the Amigos Summer Program with guidance, support, and materials for instruction, in addition to their own assigned teaching responsibilities. The Teacher Leader will work up to 8 hours per day, plus set up and orientation dates prior to the beginning of the Summer Learning Camp, July 5-7th.
The Teacher Leader will:
Work in collaboration with Site Coordinator on program set up and orientation needs
Provide curriculum materials, support, and guidance to teachers working in the program
Provide supervision of curriculum and instruction
Provide academic instruction to assigned students as a teacher within the program.

Minimum Requirements/Job Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a major in teaching ESL or applied linguistics, Massachusetts Educator Licensure, Preliminary License, Initial License, or Professional License in ESL/ELL education.
- At least five years of successful experience with diverse student populations in grades (K-8) in an urban multicultural setting preferred.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and fluency in a language other than English preferred.

Length of Contract:
July 1, 2023 through August 4, 2023

Contract Amount:
$40.00 per hour, Not to exceed $7,000.00
