    Duties
  • Serve as the Lean Six Sigma Deployment Director/Army Reserve Business Process Improvement Capability Manager and principal advisor to the United States Army Reserve Command.
  • Oversee the analysis of functional business processes and procedures to determine suitability of robotic process automation (RPA) solutions from ideation to robot deployment.
  • Serve as the Command LSS Master Black Belt providing CPI policy and directing work priorities of USAR Master Black Belts, Black Belts, Green Belts, and contractor support by advising and managing assigned complex LSS projects and project portfolios.
  • Responsible for leading, planning, designing, developing, and deploying long term Lean Six Sigma deployment and other Continuous Process Improvement methodologies.
  • Determine enterprise metrics and establishes risk assessment framework to enable data-driven governance of process improvement.
  • Serve as a representative in meetings and on committees with other organizational representation in connection with systems, business processes, policy, and procedural matters, involving the robotic process automation footprint for the Army Reserve.
  • Facilitate complex LSS projects and leads process owners to alternatives and options for process improvements.
  • Advise and assist senior leaders on change management, makes presentations, and coordinates decisions and initiates implementation actions for initiatives to change organizational structures, roles and responsibilities, and processes.
  • Conduct planning and analysis of CPI initiatives and is responsible for implementation of a standard LSS Deployment Management System (DMS) for the USARC and USAR subordinate elements.
  • Serve as the Business Process Reengineering representative regarding the strategic approach to standardize and optimize business management processes across the Army and Army Reserve.
  • Engage and collaborate with Commands and senior management to ensure LSS Programs maintains well-qualified, motivated, and well-balanced military and civilian workforce, capable of leading process improvements and supporting Army Reserve missions.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of assigned Continuous Process Improvement Office civilian, military, and contractor personnel.
  • Periodically and systematically inspect the operations of the organization to determine if each is functioning according to prescribed standard regulations and procedures.
  • Conduct LSS training to Executive leadership and develops personnel as future LSS Black Belts and Master Black Belts into the CPI infrastructure.

  • In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.     Specialized Experience:
    One year of specialized experience which includes directing and coordinating planning new and diverse continuous improvement projects/taskers to accomplish short, mid-term, and long-range goals and objectives; developing and institutionalizing Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement metrics; managing Lean Six Sigma activity initiatives and other Continuous Process Improvement initiatives; conducting Lean Six Sigma training and initiatives, and developing personnel as future Lean Six Sigma Black Belts and Master Black Belts into the Continuous Process Improvement infrastructure; reviewing operations supervised, including the meeting of milestones, timelines, and efficiency of methods, procedures, and controls to meet mission goals; and planning, assigning, directing, coordinating, and overseeing work of assigned personnel, and working knowledge of integrating process improvement and robotic process automation technologies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.

    For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
