Job Details
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement lesson plans, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge, engage and inspire students to think confidently and independently
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times
- Integrate the use of technology appropriately and effectively into the curriculum
- Establish reasonable standards for student achievement
- Create an environment for a love of learning and intellectual curiosity to blossom
- Foster opportunities for children to grow in social and emotional development
- Develop and document daily lesson plans consistent with Archdiocese of Baltimore curriculum guidelines
- Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Interact effectively and respond to all parent communications in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.
- Participate in faculty meetings, collaborative planning meetings, retreats, school committees, and in-service learning opportunities
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff and administration
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Degree in early childhood or elementary education
- MSDE certification in early childhood education or elementary education or the ability to obtain certification in one to two years
- Experience teaching at the elementary level
- Knowledge of the Catholic faith preferred
