The School Operations Support Specialist performs and/or supports various aspects of school operations with an emphasis on internet reimbursement and hot spots.

Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
Manages the internet reimbursement process from start to finish.
  • Manages hot spots for families experiencing financial hardship or homelessness.
  • Reconciles and communicates with third party vendors regarding hot spot billing and disbursement.
  • Collaborates with the Academics and Student Support Services departments on various projects.
  • Supports data and logistics of major school events, such as Enrollment, Semester End Transition, Year End Transition, and State Testing.
  • Assists with a wide variety of teacher, personnel, and family/student support issues.
  • Works with office and administrative staff to ensure the school complies with and meets all audit requirements.
  • Assists with requesting and filing student records as needed.
  • Communicates with other school districts related to student enrollments and withdrawals.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no regular supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma AND
  • Four (4) years of relevant work experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum Required Skill Set:
  • Great organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technology skills
  • Experience using search engines (internet) for research projects
  • Experience using a student information system and/or other type of database
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MSWord, and Outlook
  • Ability to pass required PDE background check for school-based employees

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

  • This position is virtual, but will require some time in the office. The team reports to the office monthly, and as needed for special projects and professional development.
  • This position is not a temporary position; the 12 Month refers to the category of employee, not the length of employment. In the education industry sector, employees are typically either 12-Month or School Year (ex. teacher).
  • This position will include limited travel and will include limited overnight travel. This is estimated to be less than 20% of the time. Travel will be required for community events, PD and state testing.

    contacts.
  • Ability to coordinate and use technology for a variety of workplace purposes and communications.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
  • We anticipate the salary range to be $26,104.00 to $68,361.27 Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
