The Operations Administrative Assistant is responsible for collaborating with the Director of Operations to support Operations department projects and initiatives with a focus on organizational responsibilities such as event planning, cross-department communications, meeting minutes, and schedule management.

This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school.

Essential Functions

  • Supports the Operations Department on projects from start to finish
  • Prepares and composes internal and external correspondence with appropriate follow-up
  • Coordinates with Operations and other school departments to ensure accurate and on-time completion of tasks
  • Manages calendars, including scheduling meetings
  • Prepares for and documents department meetings
  • Arranges details for Operations Manager, Enrollment Manager, and Operations Support Specialist Supervisor for meetings, conferences, and travel, including schedules, reservations, location of function, seating of guests, and other scheduling responsibilities; completes expense forms; takes or arranges for the taking of minutes of meetings, conferences, etc.
  • Collects and compiles data and documents into final form for review
  • Develops and maintains department spreadsheets and trackers
  • Plans and organizes department special functions, including arranging space, meals, lodging, etc.
  • Assists with Operations-related tasks as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no regular supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree AND
  • Four (4) years of relevant work experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum Required Skill Set
  • Great organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using search engines (internet) for research projects
  • Experience using a student information system and/or other type of database
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MSWord, and Outlook
  • All required clearances to work at a Pennsylvania public school

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in an administrative assistant or similar coordinating role

Certificates and Licenses
  • None required.

Work Environment

  • This is a flexible position with opportunities for in-office or remote work options. The noise level in the office is usually moderate (computers, printers, light foot traffic).
  • This position will include limited travel and will include limited overnight travel. This is estimated to be approximately 20% of the time. Travel will be required for special projects, department in-office days, community events, PD and state testing.

  8. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
  • We anticipate this position will pay between $18.00-$22.00 per hour. The upper end of this range is not likely to be offered, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
