Job Details
The Coordinator of Children's Faith Formation is responsible for enhancing the faith life of children Pre-K thru Fifth Grade and their families catechetical opportunities. This minister is charged with equipping the next generation of disciples to be active and future participants of St. Joseph's Parish and the Universal Church.
Job Responsibilities:
- Developing and managing sustainable Faith Formation programs for children in the St. Joseph Parish and Cockeysville Community.
- Overseeing childcare and nursery needs during the liturgy and other major parish events.
- Encouraging, leading and mentoring Volunteers and Catechists who will lead and facilitate specific ministries and programming within the family ministry.
- Work with the Children/Youth/Adult Formation Team to develop formative opportunities and events that lead parishioners to a deeper understanding of their Catholic Faith (e.g., Walk to Calvary, Family Adoration).
- The development and execution of St. Joseph Parish's annual Vacation Bible School.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Theology/Religious Studies, Master's Degree preferred
- Experience in working/volunteering in the parish/diocesan level
- Ability to manage and coordinate teams of adult and teenage volunteers.
- Interpersonal Communication
- Practicing Catholic preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred but not a must)
