Job Details
Job Responsibilities and Skills
- Strictly adhere to any schedule that is provided
- Stay in close proximity to a student/s unless otherwise determined by the special education manager
- Sign in and out daily in order to receive pay
- Build a relationship and rapport with the student/s to create trust and reliance
- Build a relationship, rapport and a team approach with the classroom teachers.
- Communicate effectively with the students and classroom teachers while being able to take direction and feedback from teachers
- Maintain all documentation asked of you in regards to the student/s
- Follow guidance of the manager and classroom teacher in regards to parent communication
- Adhere to the policies of the school especially in regards to the use of technology and cell phones.
- Address the needs of the student/s in accordance with their IEP
- Some days demand flexibility as support needs arise
- Adhere to attendance and call out policies for each school
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience working with children is preferred.
- Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated good oral and written communications.
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
- Federal Bureau of Investigation Record Check Clearance (Act 114)
- Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Clearance (Act 168)
