Job Description

Reporting to the Visual Arts Program Manager , the Visual Arts Specialist, will be a results-driven educator looking to use their rigorous academic knowledge and strong project management skills to design, write, and revise new and existing courses aligned to our pedagogical values and Visual Arts program vision.

Key responsibilities include:

• To plan and write a rigorous and relevant Visual Arts curriculum as part of a multi-year arts program centered on a rich, inquiry-based pedagogy
  
• To create all necessary lesson materials, lesson plans, and curricula for units of the course that are aligned to both the internal vision for Visual Arts at Success Academy and the academic state of the field
  
• Partner with the Visual Arts Program Manager and with school-based leaders on Scholar Talent teacher performance management
  
• In partnership with the manager, lead content and pedagogy specific teacher training sessions
  
• In partnership with the Scholar Talent Leads, observe lessons and analyze student work and data to ensure content is implemented across our network of schools with a high level of fidelity; these observations and critical study of scholar work will be used to develop the practice of our Visual Arts teachers
  
• Support key cross-content Scholar Talent initiatives and program needs including partnering with Operations on event and club planning and logistics

Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00
Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
