The State College Area School District is searching for a Secretary for the Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging department. The Equity Secretary works with the Equity Director, faculty/staff, students, parents, and visitors to support programming related to equity and inclusion. Responsibilities include the management of the Equity Director's calendar and meeting schedule; department-related budget processes; coordination of department communications; and management of challenging situations with skill, patience, and diplomacy.
The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations; demonstrate a commitment to diversity; demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, customer service, administrative, and organizational skills; and have the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The successful candidate will have the ability to work on projects and must be able to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. Must be able to work independently as well as within a team. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are required. Experience in a secretarial or administrative assistant position is preferred.
