Summer School Nurses Needed

GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK: Nurses serve under the supervision of the Summer School Administrator. Major duties include, but are not limited to: administering all medications, including injections, to students; monitoring blood sugar levels; maintaining the school's medicine log; and performing other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current LPN or RN License required
• Thorough knowledge of and ability to perform catherizations, tube feedings, respiratory (asthma) treatments, and all other related duties as required.
• Documented successful experience in performing the above procedures required
• Successful experience working with school-aged children preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills required
• General knowledge of computers required

SALARY: Consistent with the 2021-2022 salary schedule for School Nurses

NOTE: No personal benefits or leave programs (i.e., personal leave, sick leave, VRS) are available to summer school teachers.

Employment will be contingent on summer school student enrollment.
