Summer School Personal Care Assistants
End-of-School-Year (ESY) Program
GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK: Personal Care Assistants serve under the supervision of the ESY Program Administrator. Major duties include, but are not limited to: supervision of students, lifting, and assistance with daily living skills, such as feeding, toileting, and general support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
NOTE: No personal benefits or leave programs (i.e., personal leave, sick leave, VRS) are available to summer school teachers.
Employment will be contingent on ESY Program student enrollment.
End-of-School-Year (ESY) Program
GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK: Personal Care Assistants serve under the supervision of the ESY Program Administrator. Major duties include, but are not limited to: supervision of students, lifting, and assistance with daily living skills, such as feeding, toileting, and general support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work closely and cooperatively with students, teachers, administrators, colleagues, and parents/visitors
- Must be certified in CPR and First Aid or willing to become certified within in sixty (60) of being hired
NOTE: No personal benefits or leave programs (i.e., personal leave, sick leave, VRS) are available to summer school teachers.
