Salary Grade/Level/Family/Range: APT Range: 15 Salary $88,694 to $130,303 (Negotiable based on experience)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Master's degree (School or athletic administration)
Colorado Principal License
Three years successful teaching and a successful leadership internship
PRAXIS (passed)

Preferred:
CPI (can be obtain after hire)
Experience working as an assistant athletic director, college level teaching and coaching, or any combination of related athletic or administrative experience in a post-secondary setting.
Experience in fundraising, donor stewardship and athletic development activities.
Bilingual skills JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective: Applicant must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills; knowledge and experience with student suspension, athletics, and activities; and willingness and ability to supervise students during extra-curricular activities. Applicants must possess strong leadership skills to direct the following functions within the building: curriculum development, student assessment, master schedule development, building publications, school improvement planning, staff development, and athletics. Successful applicant will be responsible for evaluating staff. Preference will be given to applicants with experience teaching or administrating high school students. Must have knowledge of instructional leadership, strong management skills, conflict management skills, organizational and record keeping skills, strong human relations skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Oversee all athletic activities
  • Manage athletic budget
  • Oversee fundraising activities
  • Student discipline and attendance
  • Coordination of all field trip and off-site athletic activities
  • Track athletic eligibility
  • Oversee and evaluate coaches
  • Create and manage athletic and activities calendar

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise department secretary, head coaches, assistant coaches, and student employees. Responsible for performance evaluations of certified and classified staff. Carries out other supervisory responsibilities in accordance with high school policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems. Perform job duties as assigned.

Work Environment/ Physical Demands: Ability to sit for long periods of time, numerous distractions, visual, auditory and ambulatory acuity important. Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
