Description of Service Opportunity:
The ELL Instructional Support Coordinator will provide teachers in the ELL Summer Enrichment Program with guidance, support, and materials for the instruction of English Language Learners in the program. The ELL Instructional Support Coordinator will:
- Inventory and coordinate curriculum and instructional resources
- Provide curriculum materials, support, and guidance to teachers working in the ELL Summer Enrichment Program at the Kennedy Longfellow and Peabody School
- Provide supervision of curriculum and instruction
- Coordinate materials and resources
- Provide assistance and instructional support in lesson planning
Minimum Requirements/Job Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a major in teaching ESL or applied linguistics, Massachusetts Educator Licensure, Preliminary License, Initial License, or Professional License in ESL/ELL education.
- At least five years of successful experience with diverse student populations in grades (K-8) in an urban multicultural setting preferred.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and fluency in a language other than English preferred.
Contract Dates:
July 10, 2023 through August 4, 2023
Contract Amount:
$40.00 per hour, Not to exceed $1,600.00
