Power BI/SQL Developer

PowerBI/SQL Developer will be a member of the high-functioning, creative Content Solutions team as a Data, and reporting expert. Responsibilities include Power BI development, SQL coding, and documentation. Small team with a good balance of autonomy and support. Must have strong written communication skills for documentation.

  • Moderate Power BI data visualization
  • Power BI administration
  • Gateways
  • Power BI desktop and service
  • Row-level security and permissions
  • Basic Dax
  • Moderate Power Query (M)
  • Ability to bring data together in Power BI and relate data from many sources (sometimes using Power Query) including on-prem SQL Server, Azure, cloud, Excel, SharePoint, API, etc...

SQL (T-SQL preferred)
  • SQL Server Management Studio
  • Advanced authoring of SQL Select queries
  • SQL Select best practices
  • Query tuning and optimization (no database administration needed)

Education and Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in hands-on PBI development/administration supported by SQL use
