We seek an enthusiastic, open-minded teacher with a growth mindset to join our team of dedicated teachers. The ideal candidate will be a strong, collaborative team member who is committed to continuing to work on their teaching practice through professional development both individually and as a team.

Candidates should have strong personal health & wellness knowledge and be familiar with National Health Education Standards. Applicants must be well versed in and ready to provide health education instruction as part of the Unified Arts Rotation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (detailed description of day to day responsibilities)
Support students in developing healthy habits and an interest in lifelong wellness
Commitment to the success of all students
Utilize a variety of approaches to establish a safe and caring classroom community and to providing a safe and respectful learning environment for students
Knowledge of best practices in health and wellness
Knowledge of outdoor classroom practices
Deep understanding of need for social and emotional learning
Cultivate a trauma sensitive classroom.
Integrate technology into the learning environment
Communicate and collaborate with parents, community members & businesses
Utilize formative assessment to provide student feedback and to adjust lesson delivery
Demonstrate excellent teaching, organizational, planning, written and oral communication, and collaboration skills
Interact respectfully and collegially with colleagues as part of collaborative teams
Maintain records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Holds or is eligible to hold a Vermont Teaching License with appropriate endorsement Copies of transcripts and license(s) must be uploaded to the application for all licensed positions. Successful applicants to Licensed positions will be required to provide official transcripts to Human Resources before completion of the hiring process. Preferences: At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred Master's Degree preferred 3-31 PreK-12 Health Education endorsement is preferred
