Job Description

With our rapid growth, Success Academy Charter Schools are seeking a Lead of Operations Talent Quality who understands that the foundation of great schooling starts with operational excellence. In this brand new role, the Lead will be expected to conceptualize, design and manage talent development initiatives and programs that build capacity, equipping operations staff, at all levels, to create conditions for innovative thinking, and meet high performance standards. The Operations Lead will partner with various teams across the SA Network, including Schooling, Finance, Human Capital, Public Affairs, and Safety. The Operations Lead will primarily work from our Network office but will also travel to our schools throughout the city as needed.

The Lead, Operations Talent Quality reports to the Leader, Operations Talent Quality.

In this role you will:

• Create a practical scope and sequence for school operations training and development.
  
• Align talent development initiatives with organizational culture and values, leadership anchors.
  
• Create and execute internal promotion processes for school operations, including systematic identification and advancement of high-potential talent.
  
• Implement blended learning initiatives to develop technical skills along with soft skills.
  
• Track and report key data to evaluate efficacy and drive strategy .
  
• Create and report on performance data for development .
  
• Partner with the School Operations Management Leader and Regional Operations Managers in executing training .
  
• Create tools and systems to evaluate effectiveness of all development initiatives .
  
• Effectively manage projects across multiple stakeholders , and consistently gain buy-in for decisions in order to inform strategy and move decisions forward.
  

• Clearly communicate what is expected of internal partners and school constituents around outcomes - Set execution expectations, determine how outcomes are measured, and address the impacts of ineffectiveness and inefficiency.
  

The Operations Lead must work closely with a broad base of constituencies across Success Academies. A successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills, experience and characteristics:

• Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution;
  
• Project and/or partnership management experience, experience in education settings is a plus;
  
• Are adaptable and flexible to a fast-paced , high-intensity environment, with the ability to manage competing priorities and use good judgement in moments of ambiguity;
  
• Are relentlessly driven by high expectations for quality of work and a reflex to leverage data to improve with urgency and achieve exemplary results;
  
• Excel in verbal and written communication skills , tactfully and effectively communicating with both internal and external stakeholders;
  
• Have a proven track record of achieving outcomes through others , including individuals whom they do not directly manage, by building and leveraging strong relationships;
  
• Are truly dedicated to our mission and will be innovative and strategic problem solvers;
  
• Are eager for feedback and to independently drive their own learning and growth in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
