Job Description

Success seeks to hire a compelling Leader of Operations Talent Quality to go about doing this groundbreaking work of building talent quality across school operations and boosting our internal and external pipelines, thus enabling us to scale at a more rapid pace. In this brand new role, the Leader will be expected to conceptualize, design and manage talent development initiatives and programs that build capacity, equipping operations staff, at all levels, to create conditions for innovative thinking, and meet high performance standards.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven problem solver and critical thinker, with a proven track record of supporting talent sourcing and development. This role will report to the Leader of Operations Management.

In this role you will :
  • Develop sourcing strategy, career pathing & progression, and training & development.
  • Establish clear hiring profiles for each operations role and logic on hiring needs.
  • Identify and establish fruitful talent pipelines including referral strategy. Improve hiring yield.
  • Develop a strategy for tracking and planning against vacancies at risk.
  • Track and report key data to evaluate efficacy and drive strategy.
  • Align talent development initiatives with organizational culture and values, leadership anchors.
  • Build a thoughtful roadmap for moving junior staff to leadership roles in 3 years.
  • Create and execute internal promotion processes for school operations, including systematic identification and advancement of high-potential talent.
  • Create and report on performance data for development.
  • Create a practical scope and sequence for school operations development.
  • Partner with the School Operations Management Leader and Regional Operations Managers in executing training.
  • Create and maintain system for feedback on development for continuous improvement.
  • Create tools and systems to evaluate effectiveness of all development initiatives.
The Leader should be someone who...

  • Has strong consultative skills, with proven experience digging deep into organizational problems, identifying gaps, and recommending practical training solutions that close performance gaps;

  • Demands a high bar for excellence, for self and others;
  • Demonstrates strong ownership and agency in all they do;
  • Has experience building strong relationships and the ability to effectively navigate a highly matrixed organizational hierarchy;
  • Possesses a strong presence, can influence across all levels, and displays high levels of energy and charisma;
  • Has at least 4 years of experience in driving talent quality, through an integrated approach to talent sourcing, management and development;
  • Is committed to education reform.
