The School Police Officer (SPO) position is an hourly part-time position. Police officers may also opt to work sporting activities, special events, and security response for after hours and weekend activities. * Must be available to work a shift with a 24 hour period.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate & communicate with administrators, teachers, staff, parents, and students
• Monitor hallways, entrances, exits, cafeteria, parking lot and all common areas within the school boundaries
• Perform initial investigations of criminal activity, complete reports, and make arrest when necessary
• Occasionally mentor and counsel students in the performance of their duties.

Requirements :

EDUCATION:
High School diploma required

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Minimum three years law enforcement experience
Some experience working with juveniles
Basic computer skills

Certifications:
POST Certification Required: PBLE

Compensation :

Hourly Rate: $30.00
not to exceed 29 hours per week
