POSITION SUMMARY

The Recruiter, under the leadership of the Recruitment Program Manager, helps identify, attract, and deliver talent for employment with the APS Operation's Division positons, with a focus on addressing post-pandemic staffing shortages. This position uses recruitment sourcing, relationships, and research skills to build the District's talent pipelines with top notch, diverse candidates, utilizing online and in-person networking events and communities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Monitors social networking sites for potential candidates while building relationships with industry organizations, colleges, universities, and other key sources of talent;
  • Assists with in-person and virtual interviewing events and innovative employment advertising campaigns;
  • Provides input into recruitment strategy and schedule; and propose strategy to staff positions in the Transportation, Safety & Security, Child Nutrition Services, and Facilities Departments.
  • Pre-screens candidates for assigned positions utilizing innovate and research-based tools, such as applicant tracking systems, online screening assessments, and video interviewing technology;
  • Advises the development of the District's social media recruitment strategy, and monitors and delivers the daily social media activities;
  • Designs and draft advertisements of recruitment incentives;
  • Prepare incentives for payment/distribution, track expenditures, track candidates, job fairs, and maintain all relevant program data.
  • Partner closely with department leads and hiring managers to develop an in-depth understanding of position requirements;
  • Performs other duties as assigned by recruitment manager or designee

Requirements :

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:
  • An associate degree or equivalent 60 college hours required

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
  • PHR or SPHR preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • At least 2 years of equivalent work experience in a relevant field required
  • Experience in candidate sourcing required
  • Experience working in an urban school district or comparable governmental/public sector work preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel; Google suite; and virtual collaboration tools, like Zoom, Microsoft Teams;
  • Expertise with designing and executing social media campaigns (e.g., Twitter, LinkedIn, Indeed.com, Facebook, Instagram)
  • Knowledge of technology, branding, and marketing strategies that support recruitment best practices in large organizations;
  • Must have an outgoing, engaging, inviting, and friendly personality;
  • Ability to think creatively and design graphics for recruitment materials, both electronic and print.
  • Knowledge of human resources, transportation, fleet maintenance, food service, technical trades and law enforcement industries preferred
  • Develops and maintains a full understanding of the local/state and national driver labor market related to job that include, but are not limited to: CDL drivers, food service workers, crossing guards, technical trades and law enforcement and others

Pay Grade: 129

Pay Range: APS Compensation Pay Ranges

Work Days: 252 - Annual Duty
