Job Details
The Coordinator of Youth Sports and Ministry Partnerships will help to create a thriving sports program that supports the mission of the Catholic Church. As a part of the Office of Family, Youth and Young Adult Ministry in the Institute for Evangelization, the Coordinator is tasked with supporting parishes in integrating sports programs within their overall evangelization and missionary efforts. Other responsibilities include serving as a liaison to Catholic Scouting Organizations and other various youth ministry initiatives.
Essential Functions:
Administration:
- Develop and implement a plan that animates the CYS Athletic Charter & By-laws according to the AOB.
- Regularly travel to participating parishes for meetings with local Athletic Program Directors and to observe and evaluate programs.
- Provide training and retreat opportunities for member organizations.
- Develop and implement a CYS Incident Management System in partnership with AOB Risk Management protocols and procedures.
- Implement a formal communication and registration system with CYS members.
- Ensure the Charter and bylaws are implemented on the local Athletic Program.
- Facilitate training and certification for coaches according to ministry standards of AOB.
- Provide fiscal and budgetary management for all CYS athletic programs in accordance with AOB financial policies and procedures.
- Present annual report to Director and Fiscal Services.
- Oversee Archdiocesan Athletics budget.

Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work- related experience.
- Must be a Catholic in good standing.
