Hope Squad Grant Project Manager

Position Overview:

The Project Manager is expected to travel to campuses to oversee operations and support of program implementation. Manage and oversee program planning, implementation, evaluation, procurement, budget, and reporting. This role will enable school-based staff to prioritize working with students and building a Hope Squad community, without the added burden of administrative duties. The Project Manager will lead the Valley Baptist Legacy Foundation (VBLF) Grant Project Team for Hope Squad Rio Grande Valley and be responsible for all project deliverables for pilot 3-year period. The Project Manager's execution of this program supports IDEA's organizational priority of ensuring the physical and emotional safety of students and staff.

This is a full-time remote & on-site position located in the Rio Grande Valley. Preference will be given to candidates who live in the RGV, or who are willing to relocate. It is a Hybrid (on site and remote) position with between 25%-50% expected travel. This is a grant-funded position through July 2025.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $60,500 and $72,600 commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for a performance bonus based on individual and organizational performance and goal attainment.

Required Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred
  • Years of Relevant Experience: 2+ years experience in counseling, psychology, social-emotional learning, suicide awareness, educational therapy, or related experience.
  • Proven track record of achieving success and of leading others with data results


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Data Analysis & Systems Experience
  • Preferred Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification


Goals:

1. Lead grant team to achieve 85% of Hope Squad annual project goals in grant year 1.
  • Define goals and hold monthly reporting accountability on leading indicator data
  • Develop a draft project sustainability framework by the beginning of grant year 2 and operating mechanisms as we expand adding additional campuses and project phases.


2. 100% of external communications, primarily the Valley Baptist Legacy Fund Report, are published on-time and meet 100% of specified requirements- Operating Mechanisms
  • Develop and manage the consistent internal communication plan to facilitate execution of the Hope Squad Project
  • Visit campuses to conduct bi-weekly Hope Squad Lesson Observations and provide campus feedback with rubric
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with external organizations to promote best practices and attend all events and meetings.

3. Lead Grant Team partners to execute effective Hope Squad program and initiative by improving the quality of Social Emotional Learning to ensure a physically and emotionally safe school climate for Team and Family (Organizational Priority)
  • Establish operating mechanisms to support and manage team members to meet grant deadlines, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Report on student persistence and ADA progress and social emotional learning impact to evaluate future expansion of program for Y1-Y3 with tracking including Panorama Survey Data which will demonstrate a 4.5 rating on school safety

4. Evaluate program efficacy by meeting 85% of deadlines
  • Hold all grant team partners accountable to the goal through active monitoring, probing questions, and facilitated decision-making, as needed.
  • Manage Hope Squad campus advisors to facilitate pre and post surveys, meet deadlines and communicate findings and progress with stakeholders including campus and regional leaders and Valley Baptist Legacy Fund.
