MIGRANT PROGRAMMING AND PARTNERSHIP MANAGER

The Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) is seeking a Full Time Migrant Programming and Partnership Manager for our Migrant Education Program (MMEP).

The Migrant Education Program (MEP) is a federally funded Title I program since 1966 with the amendment of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. MEP or Title I, Part C was reauthorized under the passage of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Under this contract, we provide supplemental support services for a population of students whose parents or the students themselves are employed doing migratory work in the agricultural or fishing industries. The program offers high-quality and comprehensive educational programs and services during the school year, and as applicable, during the summer or intersession periods, that address the unique educational needs of migratory children.

The Migrant Programming and Partnership Manager works collaboratively with the Program Director as a primary school district liason to support districts as partnership with MMEP to maximize resources and provide direct academic services to migratory students. The Migrant Programming and Partnership Manager will also plan and adjust program design and curriculum for MMEP direct service programs to best fit the students' unique needs, as well as supervise programming implementation including direct supervision and support of instructors. The Migrant Programming and Partnership Manager is also responsible to ensure that all eligible PK-12 students receive an academic service during the summer term.

  1. You are excited about working with migratory students and engaging with school districts to develop and collaborate on academic programming
  2. You are creative and have the ability to advocate and problem solve
  3. You are enthusiastic about traveling to mutliple programs and locations throughout the state
  4. You are comfortable communicating with school district administrators and teachers and assisting them in potential policy and procedural changes to address barriers that migratory students face in accessing academic services


Requirements:
  1. Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree with at least three years educational programming experience
  2. Experience working with English language learners, SLIFE students and non-traditional students, especially in an urban setting
  3. Working knowledge of student assessment models, lesson plan preparation, use of curriculum materials and evaluation instruments
  4. Experience in training and supporting other educators and/or developing training materials
  5. Demonstrated ability to design, deliver and program administration
  6. Program design experience, including structured activities designed to achieve instructional objectives via planned instruction and remediation
  7. Creative problem solving to partner with districts in order to maximize resources, blend resournces and potentially figure out solutions together
  8. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage resources
  9. Strong communication skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with school district personnel
  10. Must have a reliable vehicle or reliable transportation (shared ride, public transportation) available to travel statewide for meetings, programming and training for both planned and spontaneous travel

Work location: Lynn or Springfield MMEP office, requires in-person work both at a designated office and throughout the state. This is not a fully remote work position but may partially be based from the employee's home, but will require regular travel.

Position status: Full time, 40 hours a week, flexible work schedule to include evening and weekend hours depending on program needs.

Compensation: $78,000-80,000/year

Benefits: CES offers a comprehensive package including: Health, Dental, Vision, Long Term Disability, Life Insurance, and voluntary Short Term Disability, enhanced Vision and additional Life Insurance. Health Insurance is offered through Harvard Pilgrim with multiple plan options, including a PPO with a self-funded Health Savings Account, and an HMO with a Health Reimbursement Account funded by CES to support a portion of health insurance deductions. FSA and Dependent Care accounts are available. Eligible for MA State Retirement or Massachusetts Teachers Retirement System (MTRS).
