Position: Full Time (1.0 FTE)
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Teaching and Learning, and with minimal supervision, the incumbent will perform the duties of an Administrator within the Teaching and Learning Support unit. The Coordinator of Career and Technical Education is responsible for developing, managing and supporting career and technical education, related activitites, programs and budgets within the high schools and middle schools.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
This is a 215-day contract, August - June; salary placement on the JSAA salary schedule Range G $101,159- $129,573 dependent on education and experience. Juneau School District offers an excellent benefit package which includes an employer-sponsored health plan (medical, dental and vision), employer-paid life insurance plan, membership with the Teachers Retirement System (TRS) plan, an optional, voluntary deferred compensation program is available.

- Valid Alaska Teaching Certificate (Type T - Professional)
- Valid Alaska Administrator Certificate (Type B - Administrative) appropriate to Administrator's position at the time duties commence and maintain an Administrator's certificate for the duration of the employment contract
- Experience in relevant work areas
- Previous school district experience preferred
- Knowledge of Career and Technical Education
- Experience in grant work and budgeting
- Experience working with a variety of stakeholders: administrators, students, universities and community partners.
- Working knowledge of school law and relevant federal laws
- Demonstrated organization and leadership abilities.
- Promoting CTE course offerings
- Facilitate industry partnerships
- Report CTE highlights and data to stakeholders
- Facilitate dual-credit opportunities and career pathways with the University
- Develop and manage grants
- Support college and career fairs, registration and career planning events
- Develop and support districtwide inservices and professional development
- Facilitate technology committee meetings with IT Officer
- Collaboration with the high school and middle school administraton to align curiccuulm and course descriptions.
