REA is looking to hire Research Analyst 1's to start immediately.

Performs entry level professional work involving collecting, compiling and analyzing data; prepares recommendations based on data research; performs related duties as required. Works under the close technical and administrative supervision of a district administrator or unit supervisor.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Working knowledge of statistical practices and procedures.
-Working knowledge of the principles, theories, techniques and procedures of gathering, assembling and utilizing research data.
-Working ability to make arithmetic computations with speed and accuracy.
-Working ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
-Working ability to deal tactfully and effectively with the general public and other departmental personnel.
-Working ability to determine and solve problems of a complex nature.
-Working ability to operate modern office calculation equipment.

Responsibilities

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental duties:
-Assists in designing or revising forms and questionnaires to collect social, economic, demographic, legislative or judicial data.
-Assists in compiling, computing, tabulating and verifying collected data; assists in collecting data from primary sources, records or reports.
-Assists in preparing tables, maps, graphs and charts for visual presentations or to include in various reports; assists in preparing narrative and statistical sections of requested reports.
-Composes correspondence and supplies information concerning reports and/or data requested by citizens, district staff or outside agencies.
-Assists in maintaining contact with other departments or agencies to facilitate data exchanges.
-Assists in the evaluation of data for usability and applicability; assists in determining trends or future needs in the District.
-Assists in determining the department's data needs, coordinating informational systems for departmental utilization and developing and maintaining an information database for departmental use.
-Attends meetings, hearings and conferences of departmental interest; researches and presents requested data to committees, conferences or meetings.
-Other related duties as assigned.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedules

This is a 12 month position working 40 hours per week.

Salary and benefits are in accordance with the PEA negotiated labor agreement. The labor agreement and salary schedule can be found at https://www.spps.org/Page/33566 . The minimum rate of pay for this position is $49,264 annually.

Benefits are available to new employees after 30 days of active employment. Benefits include medical insurance, life insurance, sick leave, pension plan, tax-free retirement account, and flexible spending account.
