SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS - BELMONT PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT

About the Process:

  • The search is being conducted by The Bryan Group, a leader and organization development firm with a specialty in executive search for senior level education leaders.
  • The application deadline is February 6, 2023. Only complete applications will be considered.

  • BPS currently comprises 6 schools (increasing to 7 next year).
  • Student enrollment is 4,378.
  • The district employs 538 staff.
  • The BPS FY23 Operating Budget is $67,000,000.
  • BPS has one school committee with 6 elected members who work collaboratively with the superintendent.
  • Current BPS composition: High School (1,364 students); Middle School (1,371 students); Elementary Schools (4 with 1,643 total students, average 411 students per school).
  • A new Upper Elementary School (grades 4-6) will open next year.

 

Essential Qualifications:

Required licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for the Superintendent of Schools (have or be eligible for licensure by July 1, 2023).
